Banco Mediolanum chooses Orizon to optimise the performance of its business applications
Banco Mediolanum renews its collaboration with Orizon to ensure the performance of the applications and infrastructure that support its business.
Madrid, 21 November 2024. – Banco Mediolanum, the Spanish bank specialising in financial advice, has renewed its collaboration with the Spanish technology company Orizon to ensure the performance of the applications and technology infrastructure that support its business.
Banco Mediolanum began working with Orizon in 2019 to optimise its software, with the aim of speeding up its processes and giving users practically instant response times.
Under the new agreement, Orizon will extend the capabilities of the Performance Technical Office (OTR) that both organisations set up in 2021. This will allow the bank to move towards "dynamic software quality", which, as its name suggests, ensures that every application runs optimally while in operation, taking into account all the interactions and processes it goes through and analysing any anomaly during its execution.
To achieve this dynamic approach to an organisation's software quality, unique in the market today, Orizon's platform measures and monitors parameters such as central system consumption (CPU), response times, user perception and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). No other methodology of this kind takes them into account, yet without them it is impossible to have an overall view of a system's real performance.
The platform detects inefficiencies and proposes solutions so that applications run at maximum performance with the lowest possible consumption of an organisation's infrastructure.
Since the OTR was set up, Banco Mediolanum has improved response times by 20%. It also ensures the availability of its applications for internal users (Banco Mediolanum has more than 1,600 financial advisers) and external ones, and plays a fundamental role in regulatory compliance, a key aspect in the financial sector.
According to Gonzalo Bonet, CIO of Banco Mediolanum, "at the bank we work constantly to achieve the best service levels, and for that we look for the best partners. We are convinced that extending this collaboration with Orizon will help consolidate the performance of our applications and technology infrastructure, always with the aim of giving the best service to our customers and Family Bankers."
According to Ángel Pineda, CEO of Orizon, "it is a great satisfaction to keep Banco Mediolanum's trust, as the collaboration has been excellent and we have managed to consolidate a culture of performance throughout the organisation. This new stage," Pineda adds, "will allow Banco Mediolanum to embrace the concept of dynamic software quality and keep moving towards the highest level of performance in its technology."
