Orizon's revenue grows 19% in 2024 and its sales 53%, reaching €4.3 million
Orizon closes 2024 with sales of €4.3 million (+53%) and revenue of €3.6 million (+19%), and expects to grow 25% in 2025.
Madrid, 10 December 2024. – The Spanish technology company Orizon, which specialises in ensuring the continuous performance improvement of large companies' applications with its own technology and methodology, will close 2024 with strong sales growth (53%) to €4.3 million, and expects to increase them by 25% next year, to more than €5 million. Revenue was €3.6 million, 19% more than in 2023.
As for customers, with banks such as Unicaja, Abanca and Banco Mediolanum joining in 2024, the company now provides continuous performance improvement services to some twenty large organisations (it targets companies investing €200 million or more in information technology) and is already present in practically every large institution in the Spanish financial sector. Orizon also works for companies in the insurance and telecommunications sectors.
EBITDA in 2024 was above 30% of revenue, a ratio that is very unusual in this industry, helped notably by the high efficiency of the company's own technology, BOA, thanks to its high level of intelligence and automation.
The company, which ends the year with 45 professionals, has completed in 2024 the investment process it began in 2022 to expand the capacity of its technology centre in Alicante (€4 million). It has also finalised the evolution of its BOA technology platform, already being tested by several customers, which will be available next January after a total investment of €3.5 million since 2021.
According to Ángel Pineda, CEO of Orizon, "we have the only technology and methodology in the market to ensure the performance of business software. We have adapted them to the needs of large companies, we have spent two years overcoming their wariness of us as intruders, and we are now getting the technology departments and business heads of large organisations to rethink how to approach and coordinate the constant technological change they have to deal with, without losing sight of costs. That is why sales are taking off with strong growth."
"I think," Pineda adds, "we are now lined up on the runway, and we have a big commercial effort ahead of us, so we don't rule out a partner for this stage, as long as it shares our philosophy and vision of the market."
The company believes the performance market will grow, driven by the increasing complexity of the technology that supports large companies' business and by their managers' pressing need to contain costs. Orizon estimates that the market is currently worth around $10 billion and will grow by 20% a year over the next two years.
The new BOA and a push for a culture of performance
BOA is currently the only technology in the market that monitors the operation of large companies' applications without interruption, detects problems and proposes solutions for continuous optimisation. Moreover, BOA monitors the dynamic behaviour of software, that is, while it runs, as opposed to the classic concept of static quality.
Unlike solutions that only point out errors or problems without providing solutions, BOA integrates a series of technical components that put it far ahead, thanks to its ability to analyse from the source and assess the business impact. These components are its data capture model; its algorithms to order the information, analyse behaviour, and detect and solve problems; and its ability to learn.
BOA applies three main types of formula. First, algorithms that order and correlate the information and embed knowledge to determine what to look for, in on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments. Second, algorithms that resolve incidents and problems and detect opportunities for improvement, covering a large share of problems and bad practices. And third, predictive algorithms that recommend the most appropriate actions.
One of BOA's defining features is its automation. Orizon has more than 60 algorithms able to instantly detect and resolve more than 40 causes of errors and poor system performance which, in Orizon's experience, occur in 100% of large companies' installations.
The architecture of the new BOA and its component model allow Orizon to keep promoting a culture of performance in large companies with a service approach under the Performance Operation Center (PoC) model, similar to the approach used in cybersecurity, with the ability to scale very quickly, cost-effectively and with maximum usability. On this last point, BOA's data presentation module stands out for its granularity, its flexibility and the ways it can be customised to the specific needs of different professional profiles: software architects and developers, production, business, management and executive level.
